Hand Washing

  1. Fill a basin with cold water, ensuring the temperature stays under 30℃/86°F.
  2. Add a specialized silk cleaner like TENESTAR or a mild detergent such as Woolite. Avoid alkali-based or soap detergents, and do not use bleach, as they can damage silk fabrics.
  3. Soak the silk item in the solution for no more than 5 minutes. If there are stains, treat them promptly with a small amount of white vinegar.
  4. Gently massage the silk item to remove any remaining odors and stains.
  5. Rinse the silk thoroughly under clean water until all soap suds are completely removed.
  6. Hang the silk item to dry in a shaded area, avoiding tumble dryers and direct sunlight to prevent premature fading of the fabric.

Machine Washing

1. Check the care label: Carefully read the care label for any specific washing instructions or restrictions
2. Separate Laundry: Separate your silk item from other fabrics to avoid fabric damage, and sort by light or dark, to prevent dye transfer.
3. Use a Mesh bag: Turn your silk item inside out and place it in a protective mesh bag.
4. Add detergent: Pour a moderate amount of neutral or specialized detergent into the washing machine.
5. Set the machine: Select a gentle cycle, set the machine to a short spin period and use cool water.
6. Air dry: after washing, air dry your silk item away from direct sunlight and avoid tumble dryers.

Care for silk

1. Avoid bleaching; do not use chlorine bleach or detergents containing chlorine.
2. Use a moderate amount of neutral or specialized detergent to gently care for your silk fabric.
3. Separate from other fabrics to avoid fiber damage, and sort by color—light or dark—to prevent dye transfer.
4. Hand wash or use a gentle cycle in the washing machine, keeping washing times short, and use water below 30 degrees Celsius.
5. Avoid tumble-drying; hang in a shaded area to air dry.
6. Iron at a low temperature of 110 degrees Celsius, lightly misting with water before ironing. Use a pressing cloth and avoid direct contact.

Silk Duvet care

1. Avoid washing silk duvet fillings with water, as it can damage the silk fibers, causing deformation, pilling, and hardening.
2. If stained, spot clean with a special detergent and air dry in the shade.
3. Use a duvet cover with a silk duvet. If it gets dirty, remove and wash the cover in cold water.
4. Air silk duvets once a month for about 2 hours avoid direct sunlight. Gently pat after airing to restore fluffiness.
5. Store in breathable packaging. silk is naturally antibacterial and doesn’t need insect repellents
6. Air dry before storing to remove excess moisture, keep in a dry, ventilated cool place.
